Voter registration suspended nationwide

To give way for the upcoming general registration of voters in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), voters registration in all non-ARMM areas nationwide will be suspended starting June 25 until July 31, 2012, the COMELEC announced today.

“On the basis of the structural requirement of registration equipment and personnel to be deployed in the ARMM areas, all the cities and municipalities in the non-ARMM areas are affected by such deployment,” said the COMELEC in Resolution No. 9474, promulgated June 21, 2012. ###
