The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) today announced that those who are registered Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters that will be turning 18 on or before May 9, 2016 must file their application for voter registration so they will be able to vote in the 2016 elections.
“Those who will be turning 18 on or before Election Day next year will be graduating from the SK elections,” COMELEC Spokesman James Jimenez said. “This is why they need to register anew so they will be able to vote in the 2016 polls.”
Jimenez said youth voters who will be turning 18 need only bring a valid ID and a copy of his birth certificate when they register. ###
